Rage is the word indeed. Guaranteed to knock your dick in the dirt. Coming across like a flaming homebrew concoction of the best elements of metal, rap and funk. Kicking it all off is "Bombtrack," (How fitting) "Killing in the Name," "Take the Power Back," and "Bullet in the Head," are all like tracers ripping through your rotting sedentary brain. The band consist of Zack De La Rocha-vocals, Tom Morello-guitars, Timi C.-bass, and Brad Wilk-drums. Hey guys, let me have one of those Molotov cocktails. Tell it like it is!
MY 3 SCUM
"Food, Folks & Guns"
Whoever coined the phrase "Punk Is Dead" is either a fucking moron or have never heard My 3 Scum, Erie, PA's claim to fame. Although the production is shitty, the songs are there. This is a four track E.P. starting off with "This Means War," and ending with the hilarious anthem like "I'm On Drugs." My 3 Scum are Nasty Robert-guitar/vox, Larry the Bastard-bass/vox, and Gary Braunes-drums. It's time you "alternative" squids discovered your punk roots. For info write: My 3 Scum, c/o Larry Weaver, 701 W 8th St. #1, Erie PA 16502. Book 'em Dano, if ya got the balls, but beware of the cracked skulls and crushed beer cans.
"120 Days of Genitorture."
"And the women shall inherit the earth." Gen-vocalist/dominatrix vundergal and the boys have released a work of art that sends the senses reeling (and I haven't even seen the show yet!) Gen has got to be the most over-the-top female vocalist since Wendy O. "Reality Check," "Velvet Dreams," and "Pleasure in Restraint." Wow Tipper!! Whatcha gonna do about this band? How would you like a needle through your nipples, or have you already? Watch for Gen and the Genitorturers on tour with Danzig and Sacred Reich in a venue near you soon.
3-song cassette starting off with "Everyday Psycho," which sets the pace for this demo and also to enforce the fact that there is more than enough room for women artist in the punk-rock vein than any other genre (other than that sickening pop oatmeal brain bullshit). Repulsa is: Tambre Bryant-vox, Devon Walker, Randy Markum and Carlton Melson-geetars, Carlton Melson also on bass, and Scott McKenzie on drums. So, it's only a matter of time before they're signed (so record companies, get 'em while you got the chance.
Les and the guys are twisted geniuses, no question about that, but this one just doesn't do it for me. Sure there's some good tunes like "My Name Is Mud," "Pork Soda," and my favorite, "The Air Is Getting Slippery." But all in all, this just sounds like a boring jam in a warehouse. Better luck next time.

BE ON THE LOOK OUT!
THE BEVERLY KILLBILLIES, a project fronted by Lee Ving (ex-FEAR) on vocals/guitar, Dave Mustaine (MEGADETH) guitar/vocals, and Dave Lombardo (ex of SLAYER) on drums and a yet unannounced bassist (Lemmy? hopefully). If this thing gets off the ground...AAAH! Beyond Godly.
