R.O.C. ANALYSIS - WE HAVE NO STAKE IN THE PERSIAN GULF!
As we go to press, U.S. bombers are bombing the country of Iraq into obviation. Not only are the bombs hitting military targets, but massive amounts are raining down on the civilian population as well. Meanwhile Bush, Baker, Cheney, Powell, Schwarzkopf and crew are "looking at" a possible upcoming "ground offensive" which could well entail thousands of young American lives as well.
This military misadventure just doesn't make sense. Perhaps having given up on competing with Europe and Japan in the technological and economic realms, Bush & Company have decided to make the United States role in the world to be that of the allies "COP."
Perhaps it's Bush's way of diverting people away from the recession, his boy Neil's hand in the S & L crisis, or simply, as some have suggested, getting away from his "wimp" image.
The militarists also see this excursion as finally getting out of the so-called "Vietnam Syndrome," i.e., citizens wary of shedding the blood of its youth in a war which benefits none but the rich. However, the main question which to pose to the ghoulish, "pro-war" generals remains, HOW MANY YOUTH IS THE GOVERNMENT WILLING TO EXPEND IN THIS CAUSE?
THE WAR WE MUST WAGE IS NOT IN THE MID-EAST, IT's RIGHT HERE AT HOME. DARE TO STRUGGLE, DARE TO WIN. JOIN THE R.O.C. ARMY! SMASH CENSORSHIP!
